This award honors Black businesses, individuals, or initiatives that have been integral to the community for over a decade. These establishments, whether restaurants, churches, historical landmarks, or educational series, have secured their legacy and become synonymous with Black Richmond, contributing significantly to the city's cultural and social fabric.
Rising Community Impact Award presented by Wells Fargo
This award celebrates emerging leaders, impactful initiatives, and growing Black-owned businesses and organizations that are helping shape the Richmond Region. This award recognizes individuals and entities whose work demonstrates innovation, leadership, and meaningful community impact. This award honors outstanding contributions in the arts and entertainment sector by a Black-owned business or individual in the Richmond Region. The recipient has significantly enriched the cultural landscape of RVA through music, theater, visual arts, or other forms of creative expression.
