Culinary Impact Award
This award honors a Black-owned restaurant, culinary-related business, or individual that has made a significant impact by preserving, promoting, and advancing Black culture and cuisine in the Richmond Region. The recipient is recognized for their role as a steward of culinary traditions—honoring the past while shaping the future—creating spaces where history, flavor, innovation, and community intersect.

COMMUNITY

Rooted Community Impact Award presented by Community Foundation for a greater Richmond
This award honors Black businesses, individuals, or initiatives that have been integral to the community for over a decade. These establishments, whether restaurants, churches, historical landmarks, or educational series, have secured their legacy and become synonymous with Black Richmond, contributing significantly to the city's cultural and social fabric.

Rising Community Impact Award
Celebrating the Richmond Region's entrepreneurial spirit, this award recognizes emerging Black businesses, individuals, or initiatives that have recently established themselves, bringing fresh and authentic experiences to the region. These new entities represent the vibrant and innovative future of Black Richmond.

ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT

Cultural Enrichment Award
This award honors outstanding contributions in the arts and entertainment sector by a Black-owned business or individual in the Richmond Region. The recipient has significantly enriched the cultural landscape of RVA through music, theater, visual arts, or other forms of creative expression.
